Emirates International School – Jumeirah celebrated the United Arab Emirates’ 46th National Day in style. Students from more than 100 different countries got to dress up in local costumes to experience Emirati culture for a day. There were Emirati dancers, including Ayala ‘stick’ dancing, a traditional UAE folk dance accompanied by drumming where dancers form close rows to signify unity and co-operation. Students were delighted when the schools’ founder, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, joined in.
