Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor is renowned for his love for sports. He plays tennis every day and his infamous walks around the world have earned a cult following. Embracing the Dubai 30x30 Fitness Challenge, he encouraged Al Habtoor Group staff to join him on an early morning walk at The Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.

Nearly 200 employees and their families got up at the crack of dawn to join the Chairman for a healthy breakfast at The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club followed by a brisk walk around the six million square foot equestrian development. A trainer was on hand to warm up the group with a series of stretching exercises before embarking on a half an hour walk.

Al Habtoor said, “I am delighted that so many people joined me to kick-start the Dubai Fitness Challenge. This is a wonderful initiative by the government of Dubai to get people moving and promoting health and fitness. As a Group we embrace this challenge.”

The Dubai Fitness Challenge, is a city-wide initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council for the Dubai Government.

The initiative, which runs from October 20 to November 18, aims to help Dubai become the most active city in the world. The challenge is for people to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity of 30 days.

The Al Habtoor Group will conduct daily challenges throughout the Group’s entities for the duration of the Challenge.

Separately, the Al Habtoor Group Media & Communications Department took part in another challenge of its own, with a half hour core and cardio session on the helipad of the Al Habtoor Group head office.
