Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor held talks with Dr Guillaume Leyte, President of the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas). They discussed the higher education sector in the United Arab Emirates. Al Habtoor said, “We are a young country but we have some very well established universities in the country.” He added, “The UAE has great potential to be a hub for research, particularly in the field of medical science. We are making progress, but more needs to be done, and I am ready to participate.”
The University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) is collaborating with universities in the UAE on broadening programmes. Dr Guillaume was accompanied by Professor Dr Nada Mourtada-Sabbah, Secretary General of the University Leadership Consortium.
Parts of Al Habtoor’s best-selling autobiography, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor – The Autobiography, is taught at several universities around the world including in the UAE, Egypt, Hungary and the United States.
