Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman, Al Habtoor Group and Founder of the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation (KAHF) welcomed the Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities (IACAD) at his office on 10 October 2016.
Dr Hamad bin Al Sheikh Ahmad Al Shaibani paid a courtesy call on Chairman Al Habtoor following a recent visit from several members of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities. Also present from the government department was Marwan Al Shihhi as well as senior members of the Al Habtoor Group and Abdul Salam Al Mazooqi, General Manager, KAHF.
Khalaf Al Habtoor praised the work conducted by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, and informed the group about the work carried out by the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation.
Al Habtoor said, "In 2013 I a nnounced that I would give 20 per cent of Al Habtoor Group profits to my Foundation to fund charitable initiatives in the UAE and around the world. I would like to encourage others to follow suit. It is our duty, as Muslims, to g ive to t hose less fortunate than ourselves. I encourage everyone to g ive within their means, irrespective of religion. It is our responsibility to humankind."
