Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group welcomed David Hamod, the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, in Dubai in late October. Hamod, who is based in Washington DC, met the Chairman at the Al Habtoor Group head office on Al Wasl Road.
They discussed the upcoming US presidential election, as well as regional issues. Al Habtoor also spoke about his recent speech to policymakers in Washington DC, at the National Council on US-Arab Relations.
The National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) is widely regarded as the voice of American business in the Arab world. It is in touch with business communities across the US and serves as the US point of contact for the national chambers of commerce in 22 Arab nations. It aims to promote and strengthen US Arab business and economic cooperation.
Al Habtoor said, “It was a pleasure to meet Mr Hamod. Promoting East-West ties is very important. There are many American companies flourishing in Dubai, who they recognise the importance of this region. This is where the growth is, and it is just as important that the message is taken back to the US.”
Al Habtoor gave Mr Hamod a copy of his bestselling autobiography, ‘Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor - The Autobiography.’
