The Al Habtoor Group has extended its sponsorship for the UAE Basketball Association for the third consecutive season. At a press conference held on August 5, 2014, Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors, also announced the Group’s support for this year’s International Basketball Federation (FIBA) junior league tournament, U17 World Championship, held from August 8-16, 2014.
Sultan Al Habtoor commented, “Our extended sponsorship reinforces the Al Habtoor Group’s continuous support for the local community, sporting events and the youth of our country in general.”
The Group has been supporting the national basketball association since 2012. The sponsorship will continue to cover the association’s activities, including meetings, competitions and general expenses involved in training the national teams for the 2014/2015 season.
