Khalaf Al Habtoor was delighted to receive a surprise visit from his Royal Highness Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Turki Bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on Thursday May 26 at the Al Habtoor Group head office on Al Wasl Road, Dubai.
The meeting was an informal one and the Prince arrived unannounced. However the two gentlemen discussed politics, business and the close ties between the UAE and the Kingdom, over coffee.
HRH, the great grandson of King Abdul Aziz Al Saoud and the great nephew of the current King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz – the current king of KSA, presented Mr Khalaf with a gift of a gold-plated replica of the sword of the late King Abdul Aziz Al Saoud, who was the founder of the KSA.
King Abdul Aziz Al Saoud was the first monarch of the third Saudi state, founded in 1932 and known as Saudi Arabia. He was the reigning monarch in 1938 when oil was first discovered there and he oversaw much of the large-scale oil exploitation which took place in Sauudi Arabi after World War II.
He is also the father of many children and of the subsequent kings of Saudi Arabia, including the current one.
