The Al Habtoor Group launches a blood donation campaign in support of ‘My Blood for My Country’ initiative…
Al Habtoor Group in Dubai launched in cooperation with Dubai Blood Donation Centre (DBDC) of the Dubai Health Authority, a blood donation campaign in support of 'My Blood for My Country' initiative launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince. A number of senior administrative officials and staff joined forces with employees from the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa to participate in the campaign.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of AHG, stressed that the campaign aimed at emphasizing the corporate social responsibility, and promoting the humanitarian aspect highlighted by 'My Blood for My Country' campaign. He added that blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that contributes to saving the lives of many patients who are in need of blood transfer.
A large number of AHG employees of different nationalities donated blood in the campaign that was organized in the group's headquarters. For this purpose, a fully-equipped van was set up by the Dubai Blood Donation Centre. The medical staff was keen on raising awareness among blood donors and providing them with adequate medical support and health care. The campaign was inspired by verse 32 of Surah 5: "And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely".
