Every year, students from the Rashid Paediatric Centre visit EIS-Meadows to partake in their annual high school sports day and this year once again the visit proved a great success.
Students from the paediatric centre mingled with the EIS students and played in a number of competitions including football and netball.
A total of DHS8,000 had been raised by EIS students in the run up the event in order to support the centre and the cheque was presented to Khalid from the Rashid Physical Education Department on the day. This year the centre plans to purchase sports equipment for the school with the money.
The EIS-Meadows teacher who organised the event, Sarah Wakeling commented afterwards: “The EISM students loved having the Rashid students visit the school and many are now friends for life. We look forward to more activities and fundraising next year”.
